YOUNG CREATORS: LVMH prize 2021 // 3 Fashion Daily Mag faves

While awards season is well underway and we’re wondering who’s going to be on the live or digital red carpet, another kind of fresh awards situation is happening. LVMH, the major luxury house known for brands including Chrisrian Dior, Givenchy, Fendi , Loewe, and Louis Vuitton has selected the LVMH Prize 2021 (20) semi-finalists, including some of my fave young designers and creators.

KidSuper’s Colm Dillane, Shuting Qiu⁠. and Taakk’s Takuya Morikawa are just a few of the ‘young + fabulous Fashion Daily Mag familiars ! Here’s a look at some of their recent and previous collections.:

From 1,700 applications, the 20 chosen semi-finalists present their designs in the Paris of LVMH, then 8 finalists are chosen. The Jury auditions the finalists, and picks 2 winners! Let’s see who will win from this year’s pool of 20 semi-finalist talent: (full list below).

⁣⁣⁠The 20 semi-finalists for this year’s LVMH prize will win a mentorship + a 300,000€ grant! Past winners have included the likes of Jacquemus, Marques Almeida, Kozaburo, Thomas Tait and HBA!

AGR’s Alicia Robinson, Bianca Saunders, Charles de Vilmorin, Christopher John Rogers, Conner Ives, Frederico Cina, KidSuper’s Colm Dillane, Kika Vargas, Lagos Space Programme’s Adeju Thompson, Lukhanyo Mdingi, Midorikawa Official’s Taku Midorikawa, Nensi Dojaka, Post Archive Faction’s Dongjoon Lim, Renaissance Renaissance’s Cynthia Mehrej, Rier’s Andreas Steiner, Rui’s Rui Zhou, Saul Nash, Shuting Qiu, Taakk’s Takuya Morikawa, and Wed’s Evan Phillips and Amy Trinh.
