WHITNEY EVE by WHITNEY PORT fall 2012
let’s face it, WHITNEY PORT is SUPAcute, and charmingly convincing. after a few seasons under her belt, it seems she is designing looks for the modest girly next door, not for her party friends. STILL, the well-balanced looks of WHITNEY EVE on the MBFW runway for fall 2012 were quite WHITNEY. here’s the thing, people love the way she looks and the way she dresses, but she’s a star with mile long legs and most girls won’t look as good wearing her modest necklines and not so clingy dresses. we loved the textured patterns, the subtle bling, and the flirty looks, but the line could use a little translation to ease into contemporary.. so drop the neckline, shorten the hem, watch the horizontal stripes, and fit to flatter the normal girl, and keep up the cute looks… we’re likin’ what we’re seeing, a little fine tune is in order… commentary + FDMLOVES selects by brigitte segura | FashionDailyMag fashion + lifestyle in LUXchic.
