CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Destination Hamptons: SOUTHAMPTON Long Weekends

Destination Hamptons: We are having an early hot summer and Southampton Long Weekends are on the agenda! Beach vibes are calling, and chillaxing in luxury is an easy two- hour or so drive away from New York City. We found the perfect getaway in Southampton at the Southampton Inn – A spot to relax in the garden, a swim poolside with snacks available, and a look at the beautiful nature Out East.

If you want a place to stay in the Hamptons with a luxe but casual feel that is convenient to everything Hamptons, stay at the Southampton Inn in Southhampton, NY. We walked to shop and eat at Southampton Village, and checked out the lovely grounds and the art at the Southampton Arts Center. And if you want a beach day, the hotel will give you a ride to the beach that includes beach chairs and umbrellas. Need we say more, cars not required for this long weekend.

If you want to celebrate something special with a group – like a wedding, and want to breathe clean air on beautifully landscaped grounds (which feel exclusive,) this spot is perfect.    The hotel has renovated and refreshed its look in the past few years and raised its standards even more with everything from bedding to food and bar service. The attractive outdoor space is also available to host events most of the year.

The Inn can drive guests to the fantastic ocean beach 10 minutes away, and to pick them up when they’ve had enough sun too. No parking or beach permit hassles are allowed to ruin the vibe, or to impede the imbibe.   Poolside food and drinks are available, as is full restaurant service at the very respectable on-premises restaurant, Claude’s.

At Claude’s, the adorable outdoor seating will make you feel as if you’ve been momentarily transported to a charming European outdoor cafe, though the menu is a full one. A continental American menu included our faves: Salmon, frites and Poutay as well as burgers and salads. We enjoyed the warm summer air, and a dining experience enhanced by flowering plants and very friendly service.

The rooms are spacious with a large closet and feel private. The bedding is luxury with tempurpedic beds. Only a couple of rooms share each entrance to the building, so you don’t meet many other guests going in and out of your room. On the other hand, if socializing and being around other folks appeals, the shared areas, including the pool, lobby, firepit and bar areas, are all amenable to that!

For a chillax and lovely quiet short stay, we highly recommend !
