Catching up: Hamptons Happening and Step Up Fundraising event

Catching up: The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF) hosted the Annual Hamptons Happening and Step Up To Turn Off Cancer fundraising event last week. The special kick off celebration of the two upcoming summer events to raise awareness and help fund cancer research.

This year’s Hamptons Happening 2024 will be held on Saturday July 6th in Bridgehampton. Attendees will enjoy a night of tastings from chefs, restaurants, and beverage companies all while raising critical funds for cancer research. The Step Up To Turn Cancer Off is a week-long campaign happening in June.

We joined in the celebration kick-off with Dr. Samuel Waxman, SWCRF CEO and Founder, this year’s Hamptons Happening honorees Arthur F. Backal, and Cheri Kaufman, Stephen Kliegerman, Marion Waxman, Randi Schatz, event chairs Mark D. Friedman and Jamie Koff, Hamptons Happening hosts, Kenneth & Maria Fishel, and special guests Dina Lohan, Chris Arlotta, Elena Gibbs, Nicole Noonan and Steven Knobel.

These events have allowed SWCRF to invest (more than $120 million!) towards collaborative cancer research programs. SWCRF-funded scientists have made many breakthrough discoveries in the fight against cancer.
