I get so inspired by the beauty of details. It could be a texture, a silhouette, a color, a new button. And when the details all fuse together to form a uniquely creative point of view, it’s magnificent. NYFW: VICTOR DE SOUZA spring 2025 wows us with a powerful feminine presence. The shapes blend together to form a beautiful unity; Strong shapes, meticulous craftsmanship, and flattering silhouettes made for women. This is what the couture and ready to wear collection excudes from Victor de Souza for spring 2025 this season.

For many seasons now I have been looking at new fashion and creators as well as established fashion collections on the runway during NYFW. I’m always excited to see what De Souza is up to as each season is a new theme, a new expression of femininity and strength. Each piece is uniquely created to capture the moment – perhaps a future moment in de Souza’s creative vision.

Victor de Souza’s unique sensibility and understanding of luxury fabrications, the female form, and how to flatter yields a magnificent point of view. Very unique for a New York fashion designer – and true New York creator, he is inspired and inspires us every season with his couture.

For the spring 2025 season, luxury linen blends and textured solids meet some sculptural shapes. Inspired by his grandmother and his Argentinian roots, Victor de Souza’s couture details include boning and horsehair to secure the corseted shapes wonderfully. Many self-covered buttons and details on the jackets and dresses were perfectly placed and some Flirty eyelet lace and hand painted florals with rock and roll spikes made their way into the collection. Cool fabric accessories add to the dimension and gave the pieces have yet another edge.

At the small show held at the Argentinian Embassy during NYFW, the collection was shown with no music! I was so focused on the collection that after a few looks, I forgot there was no sound. Another cool vibe, and only a few VIPs and editors attending the exclusive event in New York.
