JILL STUART  has a distinct following, including society girls and celebs, all of which amp up paparazzi presence. This season front rowers included Twilight’s Nikki Reed and reality TV’s  Olivia Palermo. FDM’s Brigitte Segurawas seated next to a delightful twelve year old girl who commented on Stuart’s Fall 2012 collection reminiscent of Chanel’s Paris-Bombay recent resort collection, just more wearable. Aside from the scene, plenty worth talking about in terms of the line, which, although a bit darker than we’re used to, proved to be every bit as girly.

Feminine frocks, with a bit of rocker doll edge were playfully punchy, especially in creations with paneling. Black was super sexy in solid, as a sheer, or for lace inserts. Sweet cream separates worn together or mixed up were fresh and graceful, while patterned pieces left a beautiful impression, from textured to photo-printed, floral stories were tastefully told.
