the DETAILS of HOW: The bespoke journey begins with a series of measurements taken by the Master Lastmaker, as well as the details or ‘design’ customized for the client, including style, leather, toe shape and sole as well as the detailing.    First, an original wooden last is carved by hand [for the 1st-timer] then a prototype to fit and adjust details, and finally, a 3rd appointment for the finished John Lobbs… the timing:  3 months + for last [which can be stored for later use] and another 4-6 months or so for the final product.    Only at select HERMES + JOHN LOBB .
