CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

DIDIT HEDIPRASETYO couture fall 2012 paris

introducing DIDIT HEDIPRASETYO couture for fall 2012.  The collection modernized florals through the collaboration with the print work of Calla Haynes. Standout lavender, violet, and lilac-hued prints were featured on everything from men’s bermuda shorts to a bomber jacket.

A variety of silhouettes were showcased, whether  a cocktail dress with fabric blossoming on the side or a thigh-grazing strapless gown sporting a cascading train.  Didit Hediprasetyo delivered a collection blooming with promise. Textures in bold hues gave structure without all the heaviness, such as a plum cocktail dress embellished with amethysts by Atelier Lesage. Touches of white underneath a deep purple blazer and on the draping of a black gown brightened the looks. Philip Treacy fascinators and hypnotizing blue contacts added a sense of whimsy, while transporting viewers to another world. Purple was the common denominator- letting the fur, feathers, and florals, make a striking impression.

about Didit Hediprasetyo: graduating from Parsons School of Design New York,  and Parsons Paris New School alum.  Didit emphasizes the intimacy that fashion creates. His designs venture outside of fashion as well, creating a BMW Individual 7 Series in junction with the car company. This Indonesia native who arrived to the Paris fashion scene in the last few years, was also awarded a 2006 Silver Thimble Award.  With his dramatic prints and eye-catching accessories, he surely will remain one to watch.   Written by Mary Anderson.  fdm selects from the runway by Brigitte Segura
