CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Christopher Kane Resort 2014

Some lines start out slow and end with a punch. For the Christopher Kane Resort 2014 collection, it does just that. We’re taken on a wild ride of fashion evolution at its finest in this 36 piece set. Filled with beginning grays and ending with several skin-bearing dresses, it’s like watching a good girl go bad in the best way possible. There’s work clothes, play clothes, and even risqué pieces for the daring fashionista. This designer’s menswear collection felt and looked a little similar. He has a very specific fashion voice and sticks to it…and it’s so fun to watch.

Gaining inspiration from 1980s computer graphics and 3D images, Kane created prints and lace patterns that resemble those images. He wove lace patterns into flower embellishments on dresses and sweatshirts. If you look closely, you can see pictures of the human body in the blouses. The gray pieces look like updated work attire, while the yellow and red looks glow brightly like a neon sign. The red sleeveless playsuit is a memorable look with the diagonal buttons. The orchid-printed sweatshirt is so neat. It looks like an x-ray and the striped skirt is a nice touch. Modern delicacy.

The last several looks are the most wild. See-through gowns that resemble fashionable barbed wire are crazy unique. You wouldn’t have to worry about running into the same outfit at an event! They’re sexy pieces that still have underlying femininity. It’s a collection that plays it safe at the beginning, and ends with big risks that attract. Try one of these buzzworthy looks for size and receive instant attention. fdmLOVES CHRISTOPHER KANE resort 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa
