Christopher Kane Menswear spring 2014
For Christopher Kane Menswear spring 2014 collection, the designer took us on a futuristic ride. Graphics are everywhere in this trippy but truly cool set of 19 looks. Its Matrix prints and and entrancing colors suck the viewer in, transfixing and hypnotizing. It’s an ambitious set that truly rocks with impressive cuts and sleek silhouettes. These pieces are definitely for the outgoing and unique fashionisto out there.
So many of these shirts feature wicked face prints that truly lure. The neon colors are attention-grabbing and bold. A few look like a modern spin on the Easter Island heads. The black shades on the pieces accent and don’t overshadow. There’s also summery loose-fitting gray suits and trousers. They look like perfect pieces for the European summer. The all red, blue and yellow sets are sporty and classy combined. It’s day and night wear, almost like good guy meets bad boy.
This line definitely has an 80s New Wave vibe that awesomely transcends into the 21st century. A standout piece is the all-black ensemble with the neon printed scarf…look at how that scarf almost floats up into the stratosphere off the model’s neck. It’s truly dizzying in the best way possible. Definitely not a bore by any means, Kane’s line is a force to be reckoned with. fdmLOVES CHRISTOPHER KANE menswear spring 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
