Catching up! We all wore florals: A season of sun , fun and Do-good Galas in the East End. HIGHLIGHTS of Happenings and Charitable events from our Hamptons 2024 summer season – We all wore florals! Amidst the lovely landscape of lush greenery, gorgeous flowers and beautiful homes on the East end, this summer’s fanciful events and do-good causes were aplenty and so were the floral dresses. NYC Second Chance Rescue Concert for a Cause, the Diabetes Research Institute Hamptons Garden Gala, the Footprint of Life Gala, Haiti Air Ambulance reception, and the Waxman 20th Annual Hamptons Happening were some of the highlights of the summer of giving in the Hamptons.

NYC Second Chance Rescue Concert for a Cause held their 3rd Annual Hamptons Benefit in East Hampton. Founded by Jennifer Brooks and Lisa Blanco held in East Hampton, the event honored the animal advocacy of Alexa Ray Joel, hosted by Brandon Colón and featured a special musical performance by Fat Joe.

The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation (DRIF) and the Silverstein Dream Foundation (SDF) held their Fourth Annual Hamptons Garden Gala to raise awareness and funds toward finding a cure for diabetes. The Hosts and Co-Chairs Patricia and Roger Silverstein held the event at their home in Water Mill, NY. Amy Green and Gary Green hosted the second Green Vision Foundation‘s Footprint of Life Gala at their residence in Bridgehampton. he environmental-themed “50 Shades of Blue” soiree benefitted the charity partners’ work to preserve and protect the environment and our natural world, promote community upliftment, and support conservation and education programs. The funds will go towards anti-poaching programs, protecting biodiversity, and supporting education initiatives.

Entertainment included performance by three-time Grammy award winner and Screen Actors Guild award recipient, Ludacris. Haiti Air Ambulance held its First Hamptons Reception – Saving Lives from the Sky in Haiti. HAA Founder, Pat Dolan followed by guest speaker Mitch Albom, radio and television broadcaster and musician,and founder of the Have Faith Haiti Mission in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. In addition,  speakers included Eric Cioè-Peña (MD MPH Founder and current VP of the Center for Global Health of Northwell Health) and Dr. Wesner Jacotin, Chief Flight Physician of Haiti Air Ambulance.

One of our favorite events and charities has been the Hamptons Happening. In its 20th season, the charity event The 20th annual Hamptons Happening 2024 benefiting the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research foundation raises funds to support cutting edge cancer research and honors luminaries In Cuisine, Fashion, Music and Business.
