It’s hard to believe summer is already here. BEAUTY RESOLUTIONS: SUMMER BEACH BODY in 7 tips: Are you ready ? I’ve been waiting for summer for so long, but now that it’s here, I have to admit I’m still not totally beach ready. After the stay home chapter in our lives in the past couple of years, I felt like I was dragging my feet on my walk. I wanted to feel lighter in my step, and work on toning for the summer for the beach.
From the editor: Though I don’t have a weight gain issue, the pandemic and the indoor activity did change my lifestyle, and my look is less athletic than I’m accustomed to. Now that it’s beach weather time, I was eager to regain my groove and tone. I tried to assess what I did before versus what I do now in my daily activities, and tried to get back on track.
Here are a 7 tips of what I did to tone and actually drop a size back to my normal in the past 6 weeks: –

- New Workout Fashion: Get your fashionable workout groove on! There’s nothing more inspiring than a new outfit that fits and looks good. CIAO! - Walking as a Lifestyle : If you are feeling sluggish after the pandemic, check on your daily physical activity. I find that the less walking I do, the less walking I can do comfortably. Take a look at your phone and set it to record your activity. I looked at my phone and noticed that prior to the pandemic, I walked anywhere from 1.4 miles to 2.2 miles, just walking daily to work and lifestyle-oriented activites. So I am now adding walking again to my daily routine to destinations as much as possible. Try walking around the person in front of you as a challenge. If you pick up the pace, you can actually tone the bod and get to the destination sometimes faster in the city.
- Stretch: I also slacked a bit on my daily stretching activity recently. I always knew it was helpful, but never realized how much stretching my body needed. How about about natural pain relief if you stretch right? If you think about it, how can you expect your body to look long and lean if you are lounging and sitting at home behind the screen all day.
