CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

VIONNET pre-fall 2014

Like classic Madeline Vionnet styles and techniques, the Vionnet Pre-Fall 2014 collection incorporates gorgeous pleating…something that has become synonymous with the brand. The ultra luxe feel of this line provides dramatic allure with sporty undertones. Still super feminine, this brand never deters from exuding high sophistication.

With wide pleats here, volume is everything, and we get a nice taste of what’s to come this upcoming season. Fabric meshing and swapping truly soars here, and it’s something that continues to stand out loud and proud.

There’s a gorgeous selection of hues from [valentine] red and pink to bright sunshine yellow. A gown cinched at the waist with a navy colored belt especially comes to mind. In fact, the cinching is everywhere from dresses to long coats. There’s a striking hunter green that’s chic in leather and wool variations, looking exceptional among pink leather pieces that are cute [and] sassy. A classic man’s tuxedo looks funky fun in this bright bubblegum shade, a definite late-summer outing ensemble. Even among the bright colors, there’s a definite tribal feel throughout with cave-art prints and fuzzy accessories that look warm and comfortable.

Jersey, flannel and even canvas are used on an array of evening gowns, straying away from traditional satin and chiffon. Even with some manly staples thrown into the mix, this Parisian powerhouse still makes it wearable for every kind of girl. fdmLOVES VIONNET Pre-Fall 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
