VALENTINO ss17 highlights

A new day for Valentino ss17 collection, under designer Pierpaolo Piccioli’s solo direction at the VALENTINO maison.  A modern twist to the maison’s heritage, and a modest departure from all the pretty frilly things we’ve gotten used to seeing.  An elegant touch fuses modern and minimalistic silhouettes,  but it adds to this girl’s age.

The general look is a bit more grown up than the past season favorites…  no doubt – there is something special about these dresses… they just seem a bit more serious than usual.

A few flirty and familiar sheers came down the catwalk, but I can’t help but say – did you have to take all the sparkle and glitter out, Pierpaolo?  Here are a few fabulous ones I’m loving..
