UP CLOSE: Parfums de Marly
Checking around for a new fabulous recently, I took an afternoon stroll in the Meatpacking district to see what’s around. A little further than my usual fashion walk, I stumbled onto a little fragrant gem – Parfums de Marly on Washington. Very French, very fabulous, and took my mood straight to Paris for a flirt.
Not only is the store stunning, the old school fragrance house is filled with beautiful bottles of perfume, curated to your liking.
A little chat later with Donna- the fragrance maven at the store, I discovered the exquisite scents + their stories. Taking a tour of their 28 fragrance collection was a bit overwhelming, and I couldn’t make up my mind which one was my perfect favorite! Many of the scents are unisex, so the discovery of what scent I loved to smell on me vs. on my (guy) were prevalent in my selection… TBD.
What was unique about this little shop is the fragrant experience: When was the last time you went around smelling so many fragrances, until you found the perfect one… one that suits you for daytime, for a flirty mood or for a sensual night? I never realized how tricky this can be when you love so many! My final choice was HEROD: Unisex and very very flirty for a night out.
Check out the gorgeous packaging, from gold bottles to blue and metallic bottles- perfect to gift! click any photo below to launch photo gallery:
