HILFIGER voyage to spring 013

Ahh Spring, is it ever going to come… The glorious season which rolls in along with the much-needed dose of sailing, golfing, light sunbathing, and the classic family soirée.  Capturing the essence of Spring to come with friends and family, Tommy Hilfiger took a seasonal vöyãge to Sag Harbor, New York where the campaign “le vöyãge seafãr-iüs” showcased the adventurous vibe of The Hilfigers. The spirited (and striped) campaign was photographed by Craig McDean, styled by Karl Templer with the creative direction of Trey Laird.

The Spring 2013 ad campaign marked a new era for the company, as it took a forward multi-media approach, featuring a digital, print, and social media campaign in their marketing strategy. The “family” consisted of 8 girls, 7 boys and 2 Basset Hounds, the cast including Jacquelyn Jablonski,  Max Rogers, Toni Garrn, and newcomer Jourdan Dunn.

The nautical expressivity of the shoot was très appropriate to the American-heritage  and captured in  The Hilfigers’ maiden voyage as the chemistry between the ocean and the family.  Tuned to Estelle’s “Do My Thing” the all-American sweethearts were captured by Mcdean for a webisode in the happy Hilfiger spirit of nautical.

editor’s note:  We watched the catchy VID during NYFW fall 2013 shows while riding in NYC cabs, it’s a cheery cute time- and the song kind of lingers in the head- good therapy in this freezing weather.   check it out.
