TEMPERLEY LONDON aw13
Timeless Temperley: “Byrds” made an appearance through London Fashion Week at the quaint Dorchester in London’s Mayfair district. A range of ultra-feminine savvy pieces were brought together by designer Alice Temperley, who shares, “The Autumn Winter Temperley muse has become a stylish girl à la mode, whose only wish is to live to the fullest…” The entirety of this season’s fall looks mixed sophisticated Italian Jacquards, Brit-inspired checkered coats, trapeze-lined dresses, and elegantly jeweled embellishments. The ensembles brought together for ALICE TEMPERLEY FW13 collection were light in textur giving us a pristine and refined modern woman.
The richly cultivated collection played on different classics and twisted up layered combinations of excellent finesse to create avant-garde looks that are tastefully put-together. The dreaminess of Temperley’s creations eluded beautifully in the delicacy of dresses. The textile-rich garments flowed effortlessly onto models on the runway, with the same certain lightness and precision seen in the previous seasons.
Though the palette had its neutrals, there were a few pieces that truly embraced their spunky orange, yellow and turquoise personalities. The overall effect was enhanced by brilliantly fantasized patterns and textures, creating a gracefully luxurious look for the chic twenty-first century female. fdmLOVES selects from TEMPERLEY LONDON aw13 by Brigitte Segura, Written by Julia Paulescu.
