TADAO ANDO architecture exhibition at DUVETICA milan
FDMLOVES: an exhibition dedicated to Tadao Ando’s last ten museum projects will be held at the Duvetica Store | Showroom in Milan, April 17-22,2012. a large selection of drawings, models, videos and photos showcasing ANDO projects in Europe and Japan from the mid-90’s to 2010. Presented at DUVETICA store milan, the 220 square meter store is the location of TADAO’S latest project in Europe which opened October 2011. by brigitte segura
The exhibition will have a section dedicated to Europe, including three projects executed in the Chateau La Coste in Aix-en-Provence, France, the Stone Sculpture Museum in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, and the Palazzo Grassi, Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi and the Punta della Dogana Contemporary Art Centre in Venice. Other projects featured: Benesse House Museum | Oval, Lee Ufan Museum and Chichu Art Museumas in Naoshima, Japan, as well as the Abu Dhabi Maritime Museum designed in the United Arab Emirates.
curated by the Tadao Ando Architect & Associates studio, The exhibition aims to unveil the design approach employed by Ando, who always works according to the same way of thinking:
“I try to learn from buildings, communities, landscapes and people from various different areas of life, and to create a lively dialogue between the existing and the new.”
