The NYFW shows are on! Though we’re officially launching our ss16 coverage starting Sept 8th, we had to take a little look at ZAC -plus the front row today!  The Zac | Zac Posen ss16 collection was vibrant as well as technical in the refinement of textured fabrics and colored hues in which he displayed to celebrate the style of a city with different charisma. After the show, we got a little Q + A with Rumer Willis too!

The runway show opened with a Jaguar Jacquard coat in black and white, over while silk boyfriend shirt black detailing and jungle jacquard pant with gusset detail.  The collection depicts the iconic imagery of the bright and sunny sunset strip the glamour of hollywood and pop-cultural movements of California. Imagine a collection full of youth and life-events and day to day entertainment.

ZAC Zac Posen has amazing separates from Silk Chiffon flare sleeve top with feathery embroidery on the waist line in powder room pink, over wide leg pant in navy charmeuse for the girl who brunches in Beverly Hills, to an off-the-shoulder top in white cotton, with black leather pleated shorts for the New Yorker running errands. A juxtaposition of colors and textures that allows for diversity of day dresses in light fabrics to ensure comfort with enhanced styling through prints and incredible trimmed detailing.

Zac Posen has partnered with Google to create an LED dress in collaboration with the Made with Code Initiative to create a dress inspired by Los Angeles also known as the City of Angeles. A beautiful worn et-black crepe with honeycomb mesh overlay that moved with the LED lights that changes the teen coders play with millions of possibilities for patterns worn by supermodel Coco Rocha.

To explain it in a simpler form to all the known coders and you fashion lovers it is basically a dress that conforms to your movement and creates a new design with every swish of your hips, every pep in your step and every jump you make. A true creative work of art that presented itself for Zac’s SS16 collection that also hosted June Ambrose, Rumor Willis and Mayor de Blasio’s wife Chirlane McCray, plus their Daughter Chiara De Blasio who assisted in the collaboration with Google. Here are some bits from Rumer right after the show, interviewed by Bari Suzuki.

FashionDailyMag: You have been a very busy bee from winning Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) to now joining the ranks of so many talented actors and actresses that have debuted on Broadway. How has it been? Any Struggles?

Rumer Willis: Ah, Yes it’s been fun I injured my right leg recently and now that it is healed I can return back to rehearsals since the debut for Chicago has been pushed back which allows me more time to recover.

FashionDailyMag: Are you going to attend anymore shows this New York Fashion Week and how does fashion help your career?

Rumer Willis: I’d love to if I am invited to anymore! I do have a interests in fashion, not only are the clothes very pretty but it helps build your character for your role. Fashion helps bring the character to life outside of acting.

FashionDailyMag: Are you currently working on any films outside of Broadway?

Rumor Willis: Not at this moment.
