Feel that pep in your step and that jive in your dive? That’s because Reem Acra‘s Spring 2014 collection is like a dance back in time to the 1970s disco era. With big hair and dark sexy cuts, our designer’s muse is definitely a femme fatale on the dace floor. A party hardy lady with the right amount of sassy flair. The hues stayed mainly dark with several bright gold stunner bonuses that shimmered to the models’ strutting movements. A red carpet event or or a dinner party on a rooftop, this collection stays consistently beautiful at every turn and angle.
We can’t get enough of the bias-cut halter dresses with the desired youthful charm that’s heavily trending. The polka dots and subtle floral prints were just the right amount springtime loveliness needed for the edgier woman’s wardrobe. The designer did a fantastic job covering both day and nightwear with this line, not just sticking with her famous red-carpet-ready crowd pleasers. Several of the houndstooth styles are perfect for spring brunch attire, especially with that to die for side-slit skirt. Can’t forget about the cut-out chicness and sheer overlays that any powerful female could sport. The big hair is an added bonus. Fierce from head to toe.
The final looks were some of the most stunning evening gowns presented so far this season. The bias-cut halter gold gown, along with a one-shoulder draped look shimmered like stars in the sky. Also have to mention the gorgeous sparkling gold detailing on a tiered gown that looked absolutely flawless. Such one-of-a-kind jewels…they’re demanding you to groove the night away! fdmLOVES REEM ACRA spring 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
