RAG and BONE resort 2014
Rag and Bone for Resort 2014 collection is three D’s in one: distinctive, dark, daring. Designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville opted to go theme-less for this collection, wanting to solely showcase the supreme craftsmanship of their clothing. And show memorable pieces they did! The line possesses an “urban romantic” air with a mixture of striking colors and silhouettes. It packs a memorable punch, shying away from typical florals and nautical prints.
Model Julia Nobis is powerful in these standout pieces. The line transforms women into elegant warriors. Although tailored in a more mannish style, the clothes still scream femininity. The camel chesterfield coat is to die for, while the fire-engine red coat is gorgeous and versatile. Unzip the at the hips, transforming the piece into a boxier bomber jacket, and have an awesome field day.
A single outfit of off-white shines brightly among the remaining distinctive black, navy, burgundy, gray looks. Velvet and leather is also heavily incorporated. Wainwright describes their velvet track pants as “Juicy pants” without “surf patrol” plastered on the derrière. Proof they can be worn for a night in or out, and functionality is positively everywhere.
Whether your style is more casual or posh, there is a something in this collection that can thrill everyone. Tailored, divine, so on point! fdmLOVES Rag + Bone selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
