CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Peter Pilotto Fall 2014 LFW

The always-present prints are back for Peter Pilotto Fall 2014 shown during LFW. The array of bold colors and mix matching of prints are perfected each season by designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos. No other lines with such vibrance and enthusiasm can match what these guys do best. This time, the patterns are plastered across high-collared coats and funnel-neck sweaters. With sporty undertones, this is an all-in versatile set.

High-collared coats and where the prints really soar. They encase the head like a pearl inside a clam. It’s dramatic but never kitschy, something only these designers know how to master. Colors are western-inspired in deep blues, purple and orange…like a sunset over vast mountains. In fact, there’s even a print that depicts such a setting. There are some lovely solid numbers like a deep red dress with a fuzzy neck accessory. Those fuzzy details appear on many looks, including purple lining on sweaters. They even do subtle well. A pale pink zip dress is precious with a pastel blue and white floral pattern. An Art Deco design on an open coat is hypnotizing. The sparkled number underneath just adds to the allure.

We love the variation in this collection. Sure, there’s prints [and lots of them] but there’s also ways to make them into your own creation. The swapping makes it fun. We definitely thinks so.
