Pas de Calais fall 2012 lookbook
Pas de Calais FALL 2012 shows the more the merrier –with layering that is. Soft knits and fuzzy textures in different fabrications create an easy-on-the-eye, almost soothing outcome. Grabbing one of their wraps will give a quick chic effect for the girl on the go. The brand created a smart sense of luxury, using organic fabrics in wool, linen, and cotton. Loose-fitting trousers play with flirty dresses in the collection-giving that androgynous wearer new options. Light fusions of color accent balance the winter-friendly monochromatic looks… Earthy neutrals of ecru, faded grey, beige and walnut brown mix with vegetal greens and liquor red [dyed unevenly] giving us a little feminine option for the fall countdown.
Uniting now and then, Pas de Calais takes their name from the northern region of France, and also the dentelle de Calais lace. The brand aims to bring these icons to new generations of wearers in their stores in Japan and future shops in NYC. Natural beauty is their attraction, whether its being inspired by the earth and outdoors, or the unexpected outcome of traditional dyeing- reminding us that there is nothing like the real thing… Written by Mary Anderson.
