Odd Spring 2014 NYFW
The New York Fashion Week’s Spring 2014 collections have been inspiring from the get go. Held at the Highline Hotel early in the week, the ODD looks were sharp, edgy, and clean. The color palette remained neutral, ranging from whites through sophisticated grey tones to black. The combinations of different textures and fabrics, such as leather, mesh, and cotton, gave the collection from edge.
The hem and sleeve lengths varied and when paired with the skilled use of layering created a more complex look on both men and women. Women sported T-shirts, marbled wrap skirts, sheer skirts, asymmetrical dresses, and cleverly cut statement pieces. Men wore drop-crotch pants, asymmetrical vests, and many layers of outerwear.
The footwear for the show included black lace-up sneakers for men and a variety of monochrome open-toed booties for women, which we are obsessed with. The hair and make-up was spot on minimal and looked every bit the part. Odd’s ss14 collection focuses on modern shapes and layered combos that come together to create a more complex look. fdmLOVES ODD SPRING 2014 written by Nadia Hartvigsen.
