Gearing Up for NYFW Spring 2014 shows

We’re putting the chic wheels in motion for NYC’s biannual claim to fame with the unveiling of NYFW SPRING 2014 collections. The designer line ups are getting finalized for their September coming out party.  It feels like even more shows + presentations are scheduled in the few days before and after the official MBFW September 5 kick-off at Lincoln Center.

The fashion buzz is on: we’ll be updating you live with new finds on fdmLOVES and fdmlovesmens tumblr blogs,  as well as instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

It will be a warm welcome kicking off with Nickolas K.  as they usher in Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center for spring 2014.

The four venues at the tents produced by IMG will show about 90 collections at (MBFW) during New York Fashion Week. Familiars include Charlotte Ronson, Todd Snyder, Badgley MischkaHervé Léger by Max Azria, Diane Von Furstenberg,  Noon by Noor,  Betsey Johnson, Alon Livné, and Jill Stuart.  Some of MBFW calendared shows have opted to go offsite again this season, including MM6 Maison Martin Margiela, Zac Posen, and Diesel Black Gold.

Other brands showing off-site include Jason Wu, General Idea, Cushnie Et Ochs, Costello Tagliapieta, VPL, Rag & Bone, Prabal Gurung, Alexander Wang, Cynthia Rowley, Hood by Air, Edun, Belstaff and  a ton more.  In the past few years,  NYFW has stretched its locales to include many more downtown venues howsting a slew of events + launches to get more attention from media outlets, industry insiders, and let’s not forget, the bloggers.

We’re betting on the fact that as always it will be a huge happening. Estimates of over 100,000 guests with revenues well over several hundred million dollars are anticipated for the duration of NYFW. The creative energy will reach a new level and transform to become “the world’s stage to premier the latest developments in cutting-edge fashion to the global fashion industry.” – Stephanie Zimmer (Manager of Brand Experience Marketing for Mercedes-Benz USA).
