CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Nicholas K Fall 2014 NYFW

It was a fashionable seafarers delight at the Nicholas K Fall 2014 runway show during NYFW. Designer duo Nicholas and Christopher Kunz introduced their brand new collection titled ‘Gaumy’ to an anxious set of onlookers at the Pavilion space inside the Lincoln Center. With a dark color palette full of earth tones and slouchy knits, it’s the perfect set for the outdoorsy guy and girl. Think Katniss Everdeen with the right kind of stylish edge. It was the show that kicked the week off on a super high note.

How gorgeous is that shade of cream? It’s visually pleasing to the eye and [we’re sure] hand. This is cozy high fashion at it’s highest caliber. Outwear is taken to another level with draping and slouchiness that never once looks sloppy. Instead, it’s futuristic and enticing, especially in cool gray shades. Bare midriffs and skin-baring cutouts are perfect for those in warmer climates for the winter. But believe us, there’s plenty of pieces to bundle up in next season. As for the guys, the jackets are beyond. One in rich navy is military-inspired wow. We even spot two of our favorite guys, Andre Bona and Egor Semenov rocking some ridiculously cool outerwear pieces. Plus, it’s not easy making fisherman shorts look chic….but these two designers do it effortlessly. Avon Global Celeb Makeup Artist Lauren Anderson created the smoky-eyed looks backstage before the show. Smoldering love.

The rope knot wrist detailing ties everything together. Not to mention the hot black tall boots on every model. Fashionable fly-fishing, anyone? fdmLOVES NICHOLAS K Fall 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
