Fashion week and all its fabulousness brings a us a colorful Spring 2018. Here’s a little sneak peak of the SS18 collections at this year’s New York Fashion Week. We kicked off the show season at the M65studio x Tumblr presentation, with the psychedelic vibes definitely brightening up our cloudy day.
Another multicolor fave was the CFDA x Lifewtr collab with young designers presenting their collections as well as ART on the limited edition LIFEWTR bottles.
It’s easy to get sidetracked with all the street style outfits around us in the streets, but the show must go on… This season, a few designers pushed their edge factor to a whole other level. From the Supima design competition winner, Alyssa Wardrop’s modern boxy silhouettes to Maison the Faux’s outrageous take on stripes, layers and multi-colors.
A little glimpse of Custo Barcelona’s metallic sparkled flirtiness, and more sparkle + sequins at Greta Constantine.
Of course we mingled with multi colored vibes at the Franco Lacosta mens and womens collection at Barneys, and took in a little photo art with Contarsy+Karecha Retrospective at Craven. Another fashion week treat was the John Varvatos x machine gun Kelly performance….Yass, we were quiet that night.
Back to the romance of fashion, things got lighter and more delicate as we entered the BTS of both Minh Le’s debut at NYFW and Michael Costello’s presentation. Costello’s tradition of just a hint of glitter was present, and there was more play with delicate volume. Both combined the lace and ruffle duo perfectly.
