MM6 maison martin margiela aw13
The presentation of MM6 Maison Martin Margiela aw13 was inspired by the Winter Olympic games of 1952 in Helsinki. Models sashayed easily down a dark walkway that emerged from a colorfully projected screen. The contemporary look was layered for warmth with chic for the MM6 Fall 2013 season. Sportswear pieces like functionally driven tight pants, and more for show track shorts were softened with knit leggings and silk blouses. Outerwear elements dominated but didn’t overwhelm.
Coast and capes, sometimes belted were appropriately paired with skimpier components which avoided any potential bulk. Printed to resemble (fur) – the stoles, muffs, hats, and puffer jackets were cleverly conceived options for warmth. Ankle boots in varying styles to include platform or made with metallic added hipness to the beat. Similarly, glossy side swept hair, heavily applied charcoal lidded eyes, and fresh natural lips gave us the impression these girls are more into playing an uber cool snow bunny that actually suiting up to hit the slopes, and it seemed to suit them just fine.
