Ciao Bella! Milan Fashion Week has wrapped — highlights from our runway rundown… It’s all about Italy at Dolce & Gabanna. The design duo unveiled a “Dolce Vita” collection that celebrates the country from every angle. Sexy style, raw spirit at Versace. Fendi old world charm, the evolution of swank at Roberto Cavalli, and artsy sculpted chic at Marni.
the DOLCE + GABBANA Bright colors enlivened the simple things like a trip to the market while embroideries boasted the hottest vacation getaways like Capri and Portofino. Straight skirts and flared dresses revealed a more structured daytime appeal, where as the fluid silky styles are elegant day to night. check out the show video here.
Sexy style, raw spirit at Versace. The iconic label understands the power of a youthful attitude. This take on rejuvenation is about revamping at every turn. Animal prints in a variety of applications complemented the city safari style. Khaki combos, banded components, and other military elements revealed a no nonsense perspective. see the fashion show video here.
Silvia Fendi and Karl Lagerfeld worked together to create a collection of rtw with old world charm + accessories that embraced customization at Fendi. Proper shapes and fabric treatments that showcase weaving and smocking complemented the silhouette while rich colors reinforced the Victorian vibe. A sense of duality was laced throughout and ever apparent into two in one purse turned clutch offering.
Hot for funky lux at Dsquared2. Skin-tight and sassy with plenty of cool to go around from jumpsuits, to leggings, to bandage dresses and anything imaginable in between. Somewhere between arty and active comes the special accent Dean and Dan Caten create. Sequined appliques and textured embroideries added dimension to the characteristically colorful mash-up. check out the fashion show video here.
Big crowds, big fun at Moschino. Quirky cool with fashion under construction, literally via signage and in your face positioning. From reflective strips to orange netting the upbeat vibe was in full effect. In vein with the vibrancy — another pop made a grand entrance during the label’s eclectic unveiling, the Powerpuff Girls x Jeremy Scott fashion collaboration made a playful debut. check out the fashion show video here.
Off to a fresh starts with the evolution of swank at Roberto Cavalli. Asymmetrical styles stole the show from sassy to elegant the range channeled the daring aspects of the label. The new direction revealed some more casual elements like denim and softer sensibilities in terms of color and the combination of pieces. check out the video here.
An artistically sculpted chic at Marni. The designer Consuelo Castiglioni mixes fabrication with form to accentuate the creative detailing. Plastic looking and painted components draw the eye in primary shades layered to expose loose configurations. Ultra clever arrangements and geometric accessories combined for lively styling.
