meet you for TAPAS

TAPAS in the city: Small portions of fabulous treats cheer Cava Rose. The not so boring little dishes to try + taste is just what a picky fashion girl like me likes to eat.  A little bit of this, more of that yummy… Why I didn’t think of this food category as my staple is beyond.    On a brisk night earlier this month, I took a hike far uptown this time to check out Peque, the cutest little Tapas place with amaze food and charming deco.

Though Harlem is a bit outside of my typical navigation for food in the city, the train ride far uptown made it feel even more like an escape from the city.  I was instantly smitten by the charming lights + rainbow outside at Peque restaurant,  the with the vintage deco and bar.  The Orange Cava Mimosa (above) with custom chargers by Harlem artist Ollomatic.

This cozy atmosphere… I didn’t know what to expect as far as decor, but look how charming this is! Discover,  escape and eat well.   I definitely felt the chillax vibe instantly – I can eat…   And then the rosé cava was served.  Happy girl.

The mini dishes range from seafood to chacuterie + vegetables, with vintage + unmatched tableware adding to the rustic atmosphere.    I tried the amaze fries (of course), called Patatas Bravas with spicy homemade sauced with roasted garlic aioli on top.  Then some mushrooms, and specials including a wow fish and a fennel + persimon salad.
