Menswear: Softened pales at Loris Diran for SS17. The Chic parade of neutrals and unique fabric pairings were the focus for Diran’s somewhat unconventional twist of streetwear x sportswear, shown during NYFWM. Calling his pales “sunbleached colors and green foliage,” the young designer with uber tailoring expertise brings artistic flavor to CHIC menswear.
A light aesthetic of white on white jogger sets; cropped pants and tweed raw edge blazers show off the meticulous attention to detail dedicated to each garment. Reinvented double breasted overcoats featured sporty combinations of baseball + bomber jacket designs and zippered pockets. Accompanying all of the looks were comfortable, white, canvas sneakers by Tretorn, shows the diversity of the garments. The modernistic approach of Loris Diran effortlessly reflects the timeless demeanor of a classic fashion powerhouse with a twist of bespoke detailing.
As jackets rested over the shoulders of the clean cut models standing in front of a pale white wall, the military style tailoring added a badass flare to a simple suit that speaks for itself. Diran made the unlikely mix of pocket squares, shirts and shorts acceptable for an everyday look. Crisp cuts and comfort meet at a crossroad as a spot on representation of the ideal menswear collection this season.
