LELA ROSE pre-fall 2013
Slip into a season of unique yet artsy chic by way of effortlessly. As an art enthusiast, Fashion Designer Lela Rose often draws inspiration from an artist for her collections. Abstract Expressionist Clyfford Still’s jagged edges and vast stretches of bold color moved her in the latest Pre-Fall looks for 2013.
The paintings conjured up a playfulness with fabrics, floral prints, and more literal interpretations like brush-stroked cocktails and dripped paint embroideries. Pleated details bring fitted femininity to the form, with classic touches for the modernly styled girl to include some funky fresh cropped pants and other graphically driven details. Woven wool jackets and assorted bottoms with pockets to a gray matelassé ball gown, Rose fashioned a look that’s imaginative while sleek – and easy to wear. Check out some of our favorites.
