KYE ss16 NYFW funk
Funky cool the K-pop way at Kye ss16 NYFW. Korean designer Kathleen Kye has an edgy sensibility that makes more than just a fashion statement, this season it was a juxtaposition of social manifestations that took aim at all (the haters).
Adding a pop flavor with neon hints + gold, the multi patterned parade featuring girls and guys including Abiah Hostvedt and Piero Mendez got our attention this season.
Rising above the rest with unique style is all it takes. The collection was bright and bold with a playfully dark side translated into street wear for the chic. With an awesome graphic display emblazoned on most of the line and some textual reinforcement the visual was animated for sure. From silky ensembles to casual costuming, the exaggerated elements kept things interesting while the metallic looks in black and gold added a bewitching allure to the aesthetic.
