KARLIE KLOSS all glamour

more Kloss buzzin’…  from going to NYU this fall to her scholarship program Kode with Karlie, there’s alot more going on for this girl than the modeling wold.  For Glamour’s September Fall Fashion Issue, Kloss sits down with friend Derek Blasberg to chat about texting with Taylor Swift and staying private about her love life.  Here’s a look at few Karlie Quotes from the interview, and some snaps from the cover shoot with Tom Munro.

Kloss on deciding to attend NYU this fall…

“I didn’t want to wait until I’m 30 to continue learning and challenging myself in new ways. I am 23 and at a very busy point in my career, but I hope it’s just the beginning. I want to do it all….Like most kids starting college, my major is still ‘undecided.’ Next year will be a big balancing act—but how exciting! I haven’t written a paper in years, so I may be calling you [friend and interviewer Derek Blasberg] for homework help.”

Kloss on her friendship with Taylor Swift…

“Taylor and I met at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show two years ago. [Model] Lily Aldridge introduced us. She was like, ‘OK, you two are kindred spirits. How have my two nice American friends never met?’ And that was it….. Our friendship is the same as yours and mine. Many of my closest friends are traveling all the time, so it takes constant effort—texting, FaceTiming—on all ends to maintain close relationships.”

Kloss on her image as fashion’s sweetest supermodel…

“There are worse things than being called sweet. And I think the way that both you and I [Blasberg] were raised was to be grateful to people. I’m a nice girl, and I’ve embraced it.”

Kloss on being a role model for young girls…

“I’m still wrapping my head around it; I do feel a responsibility to be an example for young women in general. That’s what Kode With Karlie is about: supporting girls to try coding even if they’re not interested in being a programmer. If I can inspire one girl to try it, I’ll be happy.”

Kloss on morphing into different personas while modeling…

“What’s funny is that I actually feel the most uncomfortable when I’m photographed as myself. I rely on taking on a particular role, like an Oscar de la Renta society swan or a Diane von Furstenberg business lady. I feel more vulnerable when it’s just me up there.”

Kloss on her love life [Kloss is dating tech investor Josh Kushner]…

“I tend to be very private about this because there are so many other parts that people feel like they can have an opinion about, be it my friendships or my body image…. For me, it’s about finding someone that challenges you and makes you laugh. You want to surround yourself with people—both a partner and friends—who let you be yourself.”
