KAREN HARMAN spring 2014

Familiarize yourself with up-and-coming New York based designer Karen Harman, who recently launched her collection.  With an impressive career working with companies like Christian Dior and Dana Buchman, Harman realized she wanted to create clothes for the modern, sophisticated woman.  Each blouse is its own sleek piece, handcrafted and made completely in the United States…the Garment District, to be exact!

Filling the void of the go-to blouse that actually fits, Karen Harman is not only a budding fashion label, it fits every woman’s lifestyle.

‘I just decided I wanted to do something more that used my talent and my taste,'” Harman said at a recent interview with WWD.

First releasing a Fall 2013 collection of gorgeous black and oxblood blouses, the lovely Spring 2014 assortment soon followed. This fun and light-hearted set of black, white, magenta and chartruese pieces are too perfect for words. On point and so ‘now’, these practical tops are for all ages.  Favorite looks include leather and sheer detailing with just the right amount of modest ‘peek-a-boo’ women of all ages crave.

Neutral shades are flattering in beautiful scalloped lace and the bright pink and green shades add that extra ‘pop’ for every summertime wardrobe. Plus, all of these tops will go perfectly with bottoms you already have, and fit under a jacket if needed. This is high-fashion, high-glamour with the added convenience we all crave. Perfect!

Every blouse is named after a certain female, so you might just find ‘your’ shirt in the mix… Whether it’s for an interview, an occasion, or just to add a little  feminine touch to your favorite skinny jeans.  We love it! Show your support and contribute to this designer’s very special kickstarter to bring this all to life.  fdmLOVES KAREN HARMAN Spring 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
