HAIR TRENDS: backstage highlights
Hair Trends: Highlights from Marc Jacobs, Reed Krakoff and Ralph Lauren for Spring 2014 from runway and backstage. Globetrotting Hair Master [and Redken Creative Consultant] GUIDO, created many favorite looks from the Spring 2014 shows around the world. Utilizing the underlying themes from the collections, he gives us fresh variations to style. Why not get a jump on it and get the look now.
Accenting the rocker vibes in the Marc Jacobs collection, the stylist created an evening look commonly seen at a rock show. Think eagerly waiting backstage kind-of-cool. With hair kept long over shoulders, a bit of wave evenly applied added that bit of edge. Grungy chic with that perfect infusion of sophistication. Special hint: He cleverly added movement to the look by bending the hair over a curling iron.
For Reed Krakoff’s Spring collection, GUIDO paired the ethereal clothing styles with delicate low ponytails. The pony was accentuated by adding a deep side part to each model’s hairline. The results were delicately feminine. Look at that satin shine…gorgeous!
The hair for Ralph Lauren‘s collection stayed free flowing and down, strikingly accenting the ultra-glam silhouettes. 60s style icons were sources of inspiration here, ones that influenced Lauren himself throughout his career. We have definite hair envy for this hair sweep. fdmLOVES HAIR TRENDS: backstage highlights NYFW selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
