Haider Ackermann Menswear Fall 2014
No, you didn’t just travel to 19th century London. It’s just the Haider Ackermann Menswear Fall 2014 collection. There’s something so fantastically moody and enticing about this assortment. Think modern Charles Dickens. Super romantic and classic, there’s even a few girls among the guys. Layers upon layers are most definitely becoming this designer’s ’thing,’ and it’s sure a charming trademark.
Long and tall’s the overall silhouette, with handsome overcoats bordering regal robes. Even one of our favorites, Baptiste Radufe, is among the mix. Like the spring line, pants are tapered at the ankle and slouchy on top. Paired with the oversized coats, they make for one lovely look. The color palette is completely fall with grays, navy and black shades.
A patterned blazer with equally distinct scarf is charming with visible ankle socks. It’s like classic literally characters popping out of the pages, making a few modern changes as they crossed over.
Stripes, stripes and more stripes are this season’s subtle statements, especially in this collection. Under fantastic outwear…that’s where they truly shine. A true tour-de-force from this designer’s sophomore men’s collection. fdmLOVES HAIDER ACKERMANN Menswear Fall 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
