CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Haider Ackermann Fall 2014 PFW

For Haider Ackermann’s Fall 2014 collection, this designer flirted between menswear and womenswear. Shown during PFW, this set is for ladies who prefer looking powerful and graceful in their clothes. Ackermann won’t give you color pops or frilly lace…it’s all about the texture, rhythm and flow. The monochromatic color palette stays true to form and presents his women as fearless warriors. They’re elegant with added sensuality into the mix— something we’d all love in a wardrobe.

There’s loose-fitting blazers and skin-tight pants never once looking off-balance. There’s something deliciously wicked about this assortment, like a high-fashion Maleficent. This is especially true in a high-collared dress with a belted cinched waist.

The long sleeves add intrigue and resonate complete fierceness. Long trenches are beyond, looking really amazing in houndstooth. The deep cut blouse underneath adds hidden sex appeal. Snakeskin pants up the ante where fearlessness is concerned…leaving a biting impression.

The contrast here is effortless. This is someone who can incorporate men’s staples into a women’s line with ease. She won’t need to borrow from her boyfriend anymore. fdmLOVES HAIDER ACKERMANN Fall 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
