GET the BEAUTY LOOK: LAUREN BUSH at MET GALA 2013
It’s not just about the fashion from last night’s MET GALA 2013 celebration of “PUNK: CHAOS TO COUTURE”. The red-carpet ladies have to beautify too. Surprisingly, many attendees didn’t “punk out” with the wardrobe or make-up choices. What we did see was alot of pretty, light make-up touches with darker eyes. Lauren Bush’s beauty look was attended to by Jean Fayard for CLARINS who kept it sophisticated, and naturally beautiful to go with her Ralph Lauren gown. That in itself is always a trend.
Jean Fayard tells us how to get the look:
To get Lauren ready for the Met Gala, I first prepped her skin with Clarins Everlasting Foundation in Amber #112 mixed with a little bit of Clarins Beauty Flash Balm for an instant glowing complexion. I then highlighted her brow bone and the ridge of her nose with Clarins Instant Light Complexion Perfector in Bronze Shimmer #03.. more below.
The theme was Punk so we wanted to give Lauren a bit of a dramatic eye that would really pop and compliment her gorgeous Ralph Lauren gown. For the eyes, I opted for a soft smoky look going from the lightest purple to black. I used the Ombre Minérale Mono Eyeshadow in Lavender Tea smudging the color along her lash line along with Waterproof Eyepencil in Black #01. Next, I created a fading effect along the crease using Clarins Ombre Minérale Mono Eyeshadow in Sparkle Black and highlighted the brow bone with Ombre Minérale Mono Eyeshadow in Nude.
On her cheeks, I lightly brushed the Clarins Blush Prodige Illuminating Cheek Colour in Soft Peach #02. I went for natural lips using Lip Definer in Nude #3 and Rouge Eclat in Nude Caramel #15. To compliment the lipstick color and add a little shine, I finished with Instant Light Lip Perfector in Apricot Shimmer #02.
There you have it, a simple and attainable starlet look you can do yourself, thanks to Jean Fayard and Clarins. GET the BEAUTY LOOK: LAUREN BUSH at MET GALA 2013 commentary by Brigitte Segura.
