Fendi Resort 2014 Brings on the Powerful Prints
Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi showcased standout colors for Fendi Resort 2014. Never leaving classics behind, they smartly stepped up the spectrum-but in a refined way. Look more closely and you’ll notice how each piece has that daily luxury-a dream for every working gal. Fendi busted out the prints this season, by either providing bold head-to-toe (even a on headband ! ) color or momentary pops of print on scarves and clutches.
Keeping the boxy silhouette worked well in this collection-overall letting graphic and art deco designs play in the pieces. The long and lean look was definitely alive-as linear accents stretched down a track pant leg or the side of a shift dress. A skirt suit had a dash of sass when offered in a tougher fabric, while a stricter tailored trouser went sexy with slim floral heels.
Look-at-me yellows were balanced with midnight blues-making these pieces perfect for both the boardroom or the dance floor. Stretching down to footwear, two-tone ankle boots were a shout-out to summer brights. Some of the unexpected features in this collection include a billowing blue top-showing that the Fendi muse is more easygoing in a lax silhouette but is still all about business by pairing it with a tapered pant. Although with all this color, we’re sure the Fendi woman just wants to have fun. fdmLOVES Fendi resort 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Mary Anderson.
