All eyes are on the red carpet arrivals and who’s wearing what. So what better way to deliver straight from the scene action than a live stream.  The Associated Press teamed up with Rightster to do just that and give us the freedom to watch the red carpet coverage and post show highlights of the 85th Annual Academy Awards. FashionDailyMag will be hosting the AP’s Oscar Red Carpet Live Stream on Sunday, February 24th from 5:30pm – 7:30pm EST on both site and fdmLOVES on tumblr.

Awards season is exciting to say least, and sure nominees are into receiving recognition, almost as much as we like watching the win, but it’s not all about acting for Hollywood’s heavy hitters. It’s about the image they put forth to their fans and the general public too, the Academy Awards are a movie star’s glamorous coup de gras, well at least until the next season.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the organization behind the Oscars, issues an invitation broadcasting the attire of attendees is expected to be formal. As a black-tie event with the reputation for classy styling, sophisticated elegance, and high drama gowns – we are delighted to see who wears what, and if the looks live up to the caliber of the event.
