Ermanno Scervino by Peter Lindbergh
Inspired by Michelangelo Antonioni’s masterpiece “Zabriskie Point”, Peter Lindbergh captures the essense of the Ermanno Scervino woman. The campaign for ss16 featuring the face of the maison, Elisa Sednaoui, is set in the Californian desert outside of L.A.
Lindbergh’s cinematographic touch mixes with charm of the desert blending into the horizon, enhancing the femininity of Ermanno Scervino looks. The scenario is wildly seductive, with looks in Mikado lace… Mikado fabric, while the male protagonist of the campaign is Alan Jouban, American martial arts champion.
“The sense of freedom is an extremely strong feeling in the desert,” explains Ermanno Scervino. “The absence of obstacles as far as the eye can see is intoxicating. Elisa, dressed in white lace is a dream, a stimulus to look towards the future, towards new horizons.”
