Dr. Martens Stand for Something
The Dr. Martens brand’s celebrates free-thinking people all around the world. Started in 1960, German inventor Dr. Klaus Maertens designed the footwear to meet the needs for support and comfort of his broken foot. Today, the choice footwear still represents rebellious trendsetters who stand out from the crowd.
The #standforsomething fall campaign brings the true authenticity of the wearers in the boots to life.
The campaign videos shot by James Pearson are a diverse compilation that include up-and-coming band The Minx, rapper Rude Kid, hair stylist Saph, and artist Wildcat Will. Interviews include the cast lending their attitude and spunky comments on what they stand for. Dr. Marten’s #STANDFORSOMETHING social media campaign gives fans the opportunity to share their style and what they stand for by uploading their own personal images rocking their docs.
Protective footwear remains fashionable in the industrial, heritage and iconic collections. Designed to endure “hard labor” without sacrificing style, Dr. Martens slip resistant outsole additionally ensures safety on the job. The iconic double stitching detail remains on many of the styles, and Doc martens now have a vegan variation too. DR. MARTENS StandforSomething written by Natalie Barry.
