CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Dior Spring 2014 PFW

The runway was set like an enchanted floral paradise for the Dior Spring 2014 collection. Gorgeous in every aspect, designer Raf Simons (his third season with the house) presented an ultra feminine and modern set of lovely daywear pieces with hints of evening stunners. The cuts are absolutely stunning. Just the right amount of skin is shown and accented to a T with gorgeous accuracy. This designer has truly taken over this timeless house with much grace. Forever Dior with details that make it Simons’ own masterpiece.

Many unique colors are used together, (bright orange, lavender, periwinkle) but they never mismatch. In fact, they’re colors we wish we started wearing together sooner. Dark jackets look super chic paired with floral shorts underneath. A lot of cuts here are unconventional. He turned a gown into a skirt and even made a shirtdress sexy with the added details in the back. Academy-style blazers are fun in light shades with added patchwork. Plus, the catchphrase patchwork on dresses and skirts is a funky fun twist. Check out the video from the show here, or click image below.

As for the finale, black and florals collided as models were dressed in dark pantsuits or girly evening dresses that shined. A definite nod to Dior past, these metallic jacquard sparklers are transitioning into this brand’s next phase. Always an exciting venture. fdmLOVES DIOR Spring 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa. check out the video here.
