Chloé Resort 2014

Clare Waight Keller stayed true to her design image and presented a lovely 32 piece Chloé Resort 2014 collection. It evokes a sense of effortless chic with a dash of female empowerment. There’s one extremely noticeable aspect about this line: pants are everywhere…and they’re hot. And we don’t mean in color, but in exquisite construction. There’s a definite nod to Katharine Hepburn in these pieces. She would’ve loved to get her hands on them.

Although the pants range in different styles, the most striking of the set are the wide leg. They just look so comfortable and sharp. There are also exquisite trousers that taper at the ankle, and others with attention-grabbing vertical pleats. Waight Keller likes to design clothes for the modern woman (not necessarily model sized), and the proportions of these pieces are stunning. The soft layers and cropped tops among the long pants look divine. They can also be worn with flats, which Waight Keller showed on her models. How stellar are those gold sandals?

Dresses weren’t left out, and many of these feminine frocks can be effortlessly slipped on like a T-shirt. The black, navy and baby pink evening gowns also sparkle with elegance. Sandals with gowns? Waight Keller shows that high fashion doesn’t have to be uncomfortable.
