CURATED LUXURY LIFESTYLE FASHION ART and WELLNESS magazine NYC curating good vibes by BRIGITTE SEGURA

Chatting with ETHAN HAWKE

One of the top leading men in the 90s, [and always a hunk in our hearts], Ethan Hawke has never slowed down the pace throughout his lustrous career. The Reality Bites and Before cycle of films star is currently gearing up for his next role as Macbeth on Broadway. He’s an Oscar-and-Tony nominated actor who “craved attention” growing up, inspiring a career in the movie business.

He recently sat down for Issue 139 for Mr. Porter, discussing love, parenting and shucking the ‘heartthrob’ status. He still thinks he’s quite average…while we beg to differ. Take a peek at some of the handsome shots by photographer Cedric Bihr and on point styling by Dan May. The ‘All American’ looks continue on.

“Every young person thinks they’re incredibly unique in their alienation or loneliness. But in a lot of ways I was really average”. –EH

Hawke looks cool and relaxed in these great shots. It’s like looking at the many stages of an actor here, as he poses in a crisp T-shirt by James Perse, suit trousers by Christophe Lemaire and rocking boots by Acne. With script in hand, Hawke stays classic comfortable in a dark cardigan by Bottega Veneta, trousers by Massimo Alba, t-shirt by James Perse and hoodie by Derek Rose. The wintertime chocolate brown suit jacket by Christophe Lemaire and t-shirt by Edwin also go so flawlessly together. This actor can pull off the formal attire, but he truly shines in these comfortably stylish duds. It’s like getting to know him on a more personal level.

Besides his passion for acting, Hawke is an avid writer. He’s published two novels, and plans to release two more sometime in the near future. A jack of all trades it appears. He’s also a doting dad to his 4 children. Can’t get any better than that. Find all styles now at Mr. Porter. fdmLOVES ETHAN HAWKE selects by Brigitte Segura, written by Allison Ripa.
