‘FASHION is a PART of the world’ for DRIES: describing his process, he shares that he designs for the individual- not for the masses.. ‘I follow my own rhythm in building a collection, seeing all aspects of peoples’ lifestyle and orientation; the biggest compliment to me is seeing people wearing my clothes.’

about the FANTABULOUS prints:  fabric is very important, I see the possibilites in the art-inspired patterns, the textures, and then the forms come together on each piece, whe
ther it’s for men or women.
when asked WHY there’s no advertising, or more accessories and fragrances added to the collection, DVN tells us,  ‘a 10 minute fashion show can tell the audience more of who you are and what you are doing than an advertising… I like people to buy the clothes and NOT just  the label.’

Dries holds both positions as CEO and creative director at Dries Van Noten, is very close to the entire process and the business- in his 27th year.
