Plenty of frills despite the darker palette at Carmen Marc Valvo Fall 2014 during NYFW. The designer is known for striking evening attire including a host of lavish gowns recognized as his signature. The ready carpet ready look has celebs and socialites hooked, Katie Couric, Vanessa Williams, and Daisy Fuentes enjoyed a front row view of the collection.

A recent trip to Turkey and an ode to the Ottoman Empire inspired a fiercely feminine take on warrior style. Paired down looks showed off clean silhouettes and opulence using brocade, leather, and lace. A different kind of glam emerged with chainmail, studding, and beading as the embellishments accented the deep colors of the scene.
