CAMILLA and MARC resort 2013

Inspired by the Palace of Versailles’s iconic architecture, the Camilla and Marc RESORT 2013 collection brought us a modernized interpretation. Dubbed ‘The Radicals’ the emphasis was seen at the waist with peplums and cinched blazers taking us back to a time when corseting was the norm.  Jeweled dresses and prints showed the extravagance of the palace without excess through clean lines.

 Color- blocking in soft peaches, whites, and pinks increased in intensity on shift dresses -reminiscent of the falling sunset at Versailles- all in modern silhouettes. Dark looks like deep onyx textured dresses- felt like the coming of nightfall, while bold bronze biker jackets shimmered with an edge. Fearlessly incorporating numerous textures, colors, and silhouettes within their collection- Camilla and Marc continues to get our attention. written by Mary Anderson.
