BCBG Max Azria Resort 2014
Inspired by the Coachella cool, BCBG Max Azria Resort 2014 is full on freedom. Never leaving quality at the door, Lubov and Max Azria’s studded and embellished jackets are a wink to luxury. Handkerchief shapes and high split hemlines are the chorus of the collection, since it’s fabulously featured on almost each look for resort.
Slicing and piling florals onto the flowing shapes give the patterns a new and improved graphic vibe. Keeping the flowers microscopic morphs them into a mosaic on trousers and tops. A jumper takes the center stage in this collection. Rather than being just a bandeau and high waisted shorts, the slim straps highlight the body in a modern way. A goddess gown topped with crisscrossing straps adds extra strength to the sweet patterns on the bottom.
Preventing side cutouts from being straight up seductive, the designer duo balance it with a lax silhouette. Pushing the effortless essence to the MAX, the floorsweeping hemlines in swaths of fabric appear lighter than air. Plenty of pockets on everything from skirts to trousers to dresses provides much loved function for that effortless girl. A black leather jacket with metal hardware is a shout out to the onstage rock-ability, although the daises are a return to the BCBG girl. Layers on top of layers of fabric are still lightweight and slightly see through, and perfect to add a pop of color if you desire. fdmLOVES BCBG MAX AZRIA resort 2014 selects by Brigitte Segura, Written by Mary Anderson.
